Subject: Re: anyone get SLIP to work with Chameleon??
I ran into this same symptom setting up a slip line here. If this is the
case, Custom will probably show your slip line as up even though you haven't
actually gotten connected.
If you do not have a username or login defined in the login menu for Chameleon,
it assumes that it's dialing into a line already running Slip and that it
doesn't need to follow a script. Try defining a username and/or password, even
if you don't actually use them in the script.

Subject: Software Needed
I've checked a number of FAQ's but I still haven't found some software I need
to complete the functionality of my Winsock based PC. What I need is:
- traceroute ( I have the one from the trumpet dist., but I cannot
make it work with NetManage's winsock)
- MPEG viewer to use with MIME (I want to use it with EUDORA)
- An NTP client for winsock. I've looked at PDCLKSET and TIMESYNC14, but both
seem to use the TIME service and not NTP
- nslookup or dig (I have hlook which may be ok if I can figure out how to
change the colors...)
- BIND (I have Netmanage's, and it may be alright, but I was wondering if
there were others)
Thanks to all for your help.
